On January 17, an open dialogue was held in Uzbekistan aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, expanding their access to international markets, and further improving living standards. The event brought together more than 60 ambassadors from foreign countries and local entrepreneurs.
The meeting was organized for the first time in an open, offline format in Tashkent at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade. It was designed to establish direct communication between entrepreneurs and foreign diplomatic representatives.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for Uzbek entrepreneurs to enter foreign markets, exchange views directly on pressing issues in the fields of exports and investment, expand international cooperation through ambassadors, and consider concrete proposals and initiatives.
In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojayev emphasized the importance of expanding opportunities for Uzbek citizens to obtain formal employment abroad. According to him, this would not only increase employment but also contribute to improving the overall quality of life.
During the dialogue, entrepreneurs were able to present their projects, export plans, and investment-related questions directly to foreign ambassadors. In addition, ambassadors were tasked with providing closer support to Uzbek entrepreneurs, as well as to citizens and young people seeking opportunities to work, study, and pursue professional activities abroad.
The open dialogue is expected to contribute to economic growth, job creation, and the further strengthening of Uzbekistan’s trade, economic, and investment cooperation with foreign countries.
