Chairman of Uzbekistan Football Association Veterans Council passes away

Tolg‘an Isoqov, chairman of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) Veterans Council, member of the UFA Executive Committee, member of the Coaches Council, and honored youth coach of Uzbekistan, has passed away, the UFA press service reported.

Isoqov dedicated his life to football. As a player, he represented Pakhtakor for 13 seasons, appearing in 252 matches and scoring 52 goals.

He began his coaching career with the Shahrikhonchi team and later served as director of a football school and worked at the Tashkent Regional Sports Committee. In 1989, following Viktor Nosov’s departure, Isoqov became head coach of Pakhtakor. During his coaching career, he also led Zarafshan and Surkhon teams. In 2020, he was elected chairman of the UFA Veterans Council.

Previously, the assistant coach of Bunyodkor from Tajikistan and former player, Sergey Arslonov, had also passed away.
