Uzbek agricultural products are heading to Europe

In the framework of the implementation of the decree and resolution of the Head of State dated February 14, 2025, the Business Development Bank JSCB is taking practical measures to effectively use the land of homestead and dehkan farms, and financially support the cultivation of highly profitable and export-oriented products in neighborhoods.

In particular, on April 30 of this year, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Business Development Bank JSCB and the French company SAS Descours. The bank and the Uzagrostar Holding company have begun to consistently implement the tasks set out in the memorandum. Yesterday, a meeting was held between representatives of the two parties to organize work in this direction.

It set out the next tasks for the construction of the Agrocomplex complex, which will provide for the reception, sorting, storage, shock freezing, packaging and processing of tomatoes, bell peppers, greens and other agricultural products, as well as transportation and export of products to European countries, in cooperation with “Yangiyo’l-agrostar” LLC and the French company SAS Descours.

For your information, the memorandum provides for cooperation in such areas as providing assistance in logistics and financing, organizing training seminars on quality standards, providing technical assistance to agricultural producers, and establishing partnerships on investment projects. 

This agreement opens up a wide path for the export of frozen and processed fruits and vegetables grown in Uzbekistan to international markets, in particular to European countries.
