During a three-day visit to Uzbekistan, the “Taliban” delegation and local enterprises have reached a consensus to seal a $44 million contract, as reported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry's information service on April 29.

The agreement outlines Uzbekistan's intention to export high-demand goods such as agricultural products, food items, textiles, leather goods, electrical engineering products, and construction materials to Afghanistan.

“Furthermore, successful negotiations have led to the establishment of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan Business Council, involving representatives from 18 prominent companies in Afghanistan. This council aims to foster bilateral cooperation, create new platforms for mutual relations, boost Uzbek exports to Afghanistan, and facilitate foreign investments,” stated the report.

As of 2024, Afghanistan's permanent population has reached 34.9 million people, with an import market valued at $7 billion.

It's worth mentioning that the “Taliban” recently appointed a new ambassador to Uzbekistan.
