In Uzbekistan, authorities have decided to arrest the deputy who sought assistance from 'Salimboyvachcha,' as confirmed by Kamchibek Tashiev, the head of Kyrgyzstan's State Committee for National Security. The Kyrgyz MP, Emil Jamgirchiev, faced a warrant after secretly meeting with Salim Abduvaliev across the border, leading to Uzbekistan's court issuing an arrest order against him.

Tashiev stated, 'We've gathered information about Jamgirchiev's activities, his meetings, and the documents he carried, spanning a year of investigation. Our collaboration with Uzbekistan's authorities has been instrumental.'

He revealed that Uzbekistan's intelligence initiated a criminal case against Jamgirchiev for unlawful border crossing, resulting in his placement on the wanted list and a subsequent arrest order by the Uzbek court. However, there hasn't been an official announcement regarding this within Uzbekistan.

Tashiev emphasized, 'Jamgirchiev wasn't targeted without cause. If he had legally crossed the border, there wouldn't have been an issue. However, the breach of law necessitates a response; it's procedural.'

Highlighting the importance of deputies' knowledge of laws, Tashiev expressed concern over Jamgirchiev's possession of potential classified documents: 'It's crucial to hire experienced deputies. Jamgirchiev moved parliamentary documents to another country through an acquaintance. What if these were classified?'

Notably, in December 2023, Salim Abduvaliev was arrested in Tashkent's Fayzabad district for illegal weapon possession, according to Daniyor Toshkhojaev, Tashkent HDIA's first deputy head. He's under investigation as per Article 248 of the Criminal Code, currently held in custody.

Amid social media reports of Salim Abduvaliev's release, QALAMPIR.UZ confirmed that the imprisonment order remains unchanged.
