Previously, it was stated that Russian border guards at airports and other checkpoints were barring not just Tajiks, but also migrants from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan from entering the country. The representative office of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency in the Russian Federation responded to this situation.

According to reports, the representative office of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency in the Russian Federation reached out to officials at Moscow's “Vnukovo”, “Sheremetyevo”, and “Domodedovo” airports to investigate. It was confirmed that there were no instances of detainment.

“Upon examining conditions at the “Ozinki”, “Mashtakovo”, and “Sagarchin” customs border posts in the Orenburg, Samara, and Saratov regions, where vehicles enter Russia, it was discovered that these posts are operating normally, allowing citizens of Uzbekistan to enter Russia unhindered,” the report stated.

It's worth noting that in the past four days, 643 Tajik citizens were deported from Moscow's “Vnukovo” International Airport. Human rights activist Valentina Chupik stated that by May 1st, approximately 4,500 individuals had gathered at Russian airports, with an equal number being denied entry at security checkpoints. Chupik highlighted that a quarter of those detained from entering Russia were Tajik citizens, while over two percent were Uzbek immigrants.
