Truck hits 9-year-old bicyclist in Yangiyul district (video)

On June 5, a 9-year-old boy riding a bicycle was struck by a truck in the Yangiyul district of the Tashkent region. The incident was reported by the regional Road Safety Department.

According to the report, the accident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the 57th kilometer of the D-022 “Nurafshon–Oqqurgon–Yangiyul” highway, within the territory of the “Baytish” mahalla. The driver, K.T., born in 1995, was operating a MAN TGS truck when he hit the cyclist, Yu.E., born in 2016, who was crossing from the right side to the left side of the road.

As a result of the collision, the boy sustained various injuries and was hospitalized. The Investigation Department of the Yangiyul District Internal Affairs Department has launched an inquiry into the circumstances of the incident.

It is worth recalling that in a separate accident earlier, a 17-year-old youth died in Termez, Surkhandarya region, after a Damas car collided with a scooter.
