Global living conditions index: Uzbekistan’s position among 196 countries

Uzbekistan has secured 108th place in the 2025 Human Progress Index (HPI), as reported by CEOWORLD Magazine. The index evaluates quality of life, life expectancy, education levels, political stability, income per capita, and access to opportunities. Higher scores indicate a better ranking in the index.

According to the final 2024 report, Switzerland ranks as the country with the highest living standards, followed by Norway and Iceland. Hong Kong claimed fourth place, surpassing Sweden, while Denmark and Germany secured sixth and seventh places, respectively. The top ten is completed by Ireland, Singapore, and Australia (ranks 8–10).

Central Asian Rankings:

  • Kazakhstan – 70th place (79.32 points) – the regional leader;
  • Turkmenistan – 96th place (73.54 points);
  • Uzbekistan – 108th place (70.94 points);
  • Kyrgyzstan – 119th place (68.2 points);
  • Tajikistan – 128th place (63.4 points).

Additionally, Turkey ranks 48th, Russia 59th, Belarus 72nd, and Armenia 78th.

The ranking covers 196 countries, with CEOWORLD analysts assessing them based on three core criteria—stability, satisfaction, and balance. Each country was scored on 23 indicators under a 100-point system.

Previously, Uzbekistan demonstrated strong food security performance between 2021–2023, scoring 21 points and leading in Central Asia in this area.
