Khusanov attractes interest from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona – expert

Former Manchester City and Scotland centre-back Colin Hendry has praised Uzbek footballer Abdukodir Khusanov, saying he is capable of playing for Europe’s biggest clubs. Hendry made the remarks in an interview with City Xtra.

According to the expert, the 22-year-old Uzbek defender has attracted the attention of Real Madrid following his rapid progress in England.

“Abdukodir made a mistake in his debut match against Chelsea, but every time I have watched him since then, he has shown a truly distinctive style of play and quality. Perhaps Manchester City defended better in previous seasons, but Khusanov is a player who can still improve a great deal. Many clubs would like to sign him, but it is not easy to take a player away from Manchester City. Of course, clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have started to show interest in him because Khusanov is a special talent,” Colin Hendry said.

The defender’s current contract runs until June 2029, and the club’s management reportedly considers Abdukodir an important asset who is not for sale.

Earlier, Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero also praised Abdukodir Khusanov’s performances, saying that if he continues at this pace, he could become one of the best defenders in the world.
