In Tashkent city and Tashkent region, the operations of 106 enterprises have been temporarily suspended, while administrative fines were imposed on 58 greenhouse farms, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change reported.
According to the ministry, working groups of over 300 specialists were formed in collaboration with the Office of the Prosecutor General and the city and regional administrations. These teams conducted comprehensive inspections of greenhouse farms, industrial enterprises, construction materials factories, and other large-scale production and social sector facilities across the capital.
A total of 4,869 facilities were examined, including 595 greenhouse farms (381 in the Tashkent region and 214 in Tashkent city), 2,265 social sector facilities, and 1,998 industrial and construction material enterprises. All facilities received preventive guidance and awareness-raising measures.
The inspections revealed violations of legislation on air protection. In particular, some enterprises released harmful chemical, physical, and biological substances into the atmosphere. Strict measures were taken for each violation, and preventive steps were outlined to mitigate and prevent further breaches.
