Uzbek citizens can now work at Qatar Airways

A total of 65 Uzbek citizens are expected to be employed by Qatar Airways in May and June this year. This was reported by the Migration Agency.
According to the report, representatives of the Migration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Uzbekistan’s embassy in Qatar held migration-related meetings in Doha.
During talks with Qatar’s Minister of Labour Ali bin Saeed, the sides discussed studying qualification requirements for high-demand sectors in Qatar’s labor market, including medicine, tourism, aviation and information technology, as well as launching targeted training courses in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, it was agreed that representatives of Qatar’s ministries of labor and health would visit Uzbekistan, an interagency working group would be established, and a special training program would be launched to prepare medical workers in line with Qatari standards.
In addition, the Uzbekistan–Qatar Labor Forum will be held in Tashkent in September 2026 for young people wishing to work in Qatar, with the participation of more than 50 employers.
At a meeting with Qatar Airways Vice President Fathi Atti, an agreement was reached to select 65 candidates in the aviation sector in May and June this year, including flight attendants, engineers and airport staff, and place them in high-paying jobs at Qatar Airways. The sides also agreed to implement a project to attract 1,600 university-educated specialists in piloting, mechanics, electrical engineering and engineering in the future.
