Candidates Tournament: Sindarov defeats Praggnanandhaa for the second time

The 10th-round matches of the Candidates Tournament were held in Cyprus on April 9. Uzbek grandmaster Javokhir Sindarov faced India’s Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa in this round and secured a victory.
Following this win, Sindarov’s points tally rose to eight, putting him two points ahead of his closest challenger. He is now set to play against American grandmaster Fabiano Caruana with the black pieces in the 11th round on April 11.
For reference, winning this tournament grants the right to compete for the world title.
It is worth noting that in the previous round, Sindarov drew with German grandmaster Matthias Blübaum.
