Shavkat Mirziyoyev concludes visit to Türkiye

On January 29, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev concluded his official visit to Türkiye, the presidential press service reported.

In Ankara, talks were held with President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as the fourth meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council chaired by the leaders of the two countries.

A ceremony was held to sign a substantial package of bilateral documents.

In statements to the media, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Türkiye shared their views on the outcomes of the negotiations.

The heads of state also took part in ceremonies marking the commissioning of a residential complex built by the Uzbek side in Hatay Province, as well as the launch of construction of an Uzbek school in Istanbul.

Following the conclusion of the visit’s events, the President of Uzbekistan departed for Tashkent together with his spouse. At Esenboğa International Airport, the high-ranking guests were seen off by Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz and other officials.
