Tashkent ranks first worldwide for air pollution again

On January 30, Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, ranked first among major cities worldwide in terms of air pollution levels. This was reported by the IQAir platform.

As of 11:00 a.m., the concentration of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in Tashkent’s air reached 184.5 micrograms per cubic meter.

For reference, under such air quality conditions, residents are advised to avoid going outside unless necessary. People suffering from chronic respiratory diseases are recommended to use medical masks.

After returning indoors, it is advised to thoroughly wash hands and face, prevent dust accumulation inside living spaces, keep doors and windows tightly closed, and carry out wet cleaning several times a day.
