Warning issued over nighttime street racing in Tashkent

Authorities are taking necessary measures to prevent, detect and eliminate incidents of nighttime street racing in Tashkent, Prosecutor General’s Office spokesperson Hayot Shamsutdinov said in a public warning.

“In recent times, like many other citizens, I have witnessed cases in Tashkent after 10:00 p.m. where certain individuals drive cars and motorcycles at speeds significantly exceeding the установлен limit or organize races among themselves. Such actions generate excessive noise and pose a threat to the safety of road users,” he said.

According to Shamsutdinov, such behavior disrupts public order and citizens’ peace during nighttime hours and creates a real danger to human life and health. Relevant services are taking the necessary steps to prevent, identify and address these violations.

Citizens are urged to strictly comply with legal requirements and traffic regulations and to respect public peace. The public is also asked to report such violations to the competent authorities in accordance with established procedures.
