In the Kokand-1912 vs. Nasaf match, which ended 1-1 and was part of the sixth round of the Uzbekistan Super League on April 8, the refereeing team made a serious error that affected the outcome of the game. This was reported by the Football Referees Center.

In the 78th minute of the match in Kokand, chief referee Rustam Lutfullin ruled that Nasaf goalkeeper Abduvokhid Ne’matov had fouled opposing forward Silvanus Nimely, despite the goalkeeper having played the ball, and awarded a penalty to the home side. After consulting VAR and reviewing the replay, Lutfullin upheld his decision. Nasaf head coach Ro‘ziqul Berdiyev protested the call, but was immediately sent off. Kokand player Toma Tabatadze then converted the penalty. No more goals were scored, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

After the game, the Uzbekistan Football Referees Center reviewed the incident and stated that no foul had occurred in that episode. It concluded that the referee’s decision to award a penalty was incorrect.
