Furqatbek Tojimuhammadovich Botakhonov has been designated as the governor of Buloqboshi district in the Andijan region, according to a statement from the regional government's press service.
Today, a session of the Buloqboshi district's Council of People's Deputies took place on May 1, bidding farewell to Otkirbek Ma'murov, who served as district governor for eight years.
Furqatbek Botakhonov, who previously served as the first deputy mayor of Buloqboshi district, has now assumed the role of mayor.
For context, Botakhonov, born in 1985 in Khojaobod district, graduated from Andijan Agricultural Institute in 2013. Throughout his career, he held various positions in finance, electricity supply, economy, investment, and employment, including treasurer, accountant, department head, chief specialist, and deputy district governor.
It's worth mentioning that Otkirbek Ma'murov was previously appointed as governor of Marhamat district in the Andijan region.
