Registration through a single online portal has been made mandatory for individuals traveling to perform Hajj and Umrah. This is stipulated in Resolution No. 27 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated January 24, titled “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Decisions of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Connection with Improving the Organization and Conduct of Hajj and Umrah Activities.”
According to the document, the “Unified Hajj and Umrah Portal” has been launched in the country. From now on, citizens wishing to undertake pilgrimage will be required to register through this portal.
In accordance with the resolution, the new procedure shall enter into force from the following dates:
– from February 1, 2026 — for participation in the Hajj pilgrimage;
– from May 1, 2026 — for participation in the Umrah pilgrimage.
It will not be permitted to organize travel unless pilgrims’ information has been entered into the portal.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia announced that for the “Hajj 2026” season, a Hajj visa will be issued only if the pilgrim possesses a medical fitness certificate obtained through the Nusuk platform. This requirement is aimed at ensuring the safety and health of pilgrims.
