Albanian President to visit Uzbekistan with wife

At the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Albania Bajram Begaj will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on June 16-17 this year, accompanied by his wife. The presidential press service reported this.

According to the report, under the visit program, high-level talks will be held in Tashkent to discuss prospects for further developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Albania.

Special attention will be paid to expanding cooperation in priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture, green energy and tourism. The activation of cultural and humanitarian exchanges will also be considered.

The parties are also expected to exchange views on issues on the international agenda, including mutual support within multilateral platforms.

As part of the visit program, the President of Albania will also take part in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum.

Earlier, it was reported that German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier would also visit Uzbekistan.
