Komil Ismoilovich Allamjonov, former head of the Information Policy Department under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has been appointed an independent advisor to the head of the Presidential Administration. The appointment, made on a public basis, was confirmed by a source from QALAMPIR.UZ.
The Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established on August 26, 2018. It was led by Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov from 2018 to 2022, and by Sardor Umrzakov from 2022 to 2023. In 2023, the position of the head of the administration was briefly abolished.
Komil Allamjonov is regarded as one of the youngest officials in Uzbekistan’s political arena. He was born on September 18, 1984, in Tashkent. His career began at the “Davr” information program on the "Yoshlar" TV and radio channel of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan.
His rise to prominence is linked to his role as head of the Press Service of the State Tax Committee from 2005 to 2013. From December 1, 2017, to October 3, 2018, he served as Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration and concurrently as Press Secretary to the President of Uzbekistan.
On November 29, 2018, Allamjonov was appointed Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications. He left that post in January 2020 to become Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Public Fund for Support and Development of National Mass Media. In July 2022, he returned to the Presidential Administration as Deputy Head, and a year later, in August 2023, he was appointed Head of the Information Policy Department.
In September 2024, Komil Allamjonov was dismissed from his position as Head of the Information Policy Department by presidential decree due to his transfer to another role. He later announced that he would continue his professional activities in the private sector.
It should be noted that the same presidential decree introduced structural changes to the Presidential Administration, including the re-establishment of the position of Head of the Administration. Saida Shavkatovna Mirziyoyeva was appointed to this newly reinstated post.
