The press service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations has issued an official statement in response to reports circulating on social networks claiming that scholarships have not been paid on time to students at several higher education institutions, including the National University of Uzbekistan, the State Conservatory, the Institute of Arts and Culture, Tashkent State Agrarian University, and Samarkand State Medical University.

According to the Ministry, scholarship payments have already been made to senior students at all higher education institutions. In some universities, however, delays occurred due to the late formalization of orders for awarding scholarships to first-year students and the process of opening bank cards.

The Ministry noted that these administrative procedures are now being finalized and that scholarship payments to students at all institutions will be completed by the end of this week.

It is worth noting that earlier in Uzbekistan, it was announced that special scholarships would be provided to female students from families classified under the “red” category who achieve excellent academic results.
