Reports have circulated on social media claiming that a recreation park in the Suvsoz dacha area of Tashkent’s Bektemir district is being put up for sale, and that a multi-storey building is being constructed in its place. In response, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the district administration for clarification.

Sunnatulla Ovlakulov, head of the press service for the Bektemir district administration, told QALAMPIR.UZ that the claims about the “Quyoshcha Nuri” park—located in the Rohat and Mirishkor neighborhoods—being sold are false.

“The announcement regarding the sale of the park was made last year, but the owner has confirmed that the park has not been sold. It remains private property,” Ovlakulov stated.

He added that current construction work within the park involves only light metal structures and does not signal any redevelopment for a high-rise building.

For context, a similar case was recently reported in Tashkent’s Shaykhantohur district, where the district administration building itself was put up for sale.
