A total of 867 million soums in unpaid wages owed to employees of Tashkent’s Bunyodkor stadium for several months has been fully recovered. The press service of the State Labor Inspectorate reported this.

According to the source, the unpaid salaries of employees of Bunyodkor Stadium Buildings and Facilities Operation Directorate LLC were recovered following the intervention of the State Labor Inspectorate. Based on the inspectorate’s written order, a total wage debt of 867 million soums owed to 49 employees of the company was fully repaid.

According to the inspectorate, there is currently no remaining wage debt to the employees.

For reference, at the beginning of this year, Uzbekneftegaz JSC, which had sponsored Bunyodkor for several years, announced that it would no longer allocate funds to football. As a result, Bunyodkor is spending the current season without a sponsor.

After Uzbekneftegaz JSC stopped financing football, payments on Bunyodkor’s long-standing debt to former player Rivaldo also stalled. For this reason, FIFA gave the club one month to settle the debt. If the debt is not paid within that period, Bunyodkor may face bankruptcy.
