2026 state budget: who will receive how much?

Additional funds will be allocated in Uzbekistan for measures related to the development of education, healthcare, culture, and sports. This is stipulated in the amended Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025.”

According to the amendments, extra funding will be directed toward the development of education, healthcare, culture, and sports, the implementation of measures under the “From Poverty to Prosperity” program, as well as initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency in multi-apartment residential buildings and social sector institutions.

In addition, changes have been made to the size of the Cabinet of Ministers’ reserve fund, the amounts of transfers allocated from the State Budget to state targeted funds, as well as the revenues and expenditures of these funds.

The amendments also envisage optimizing part of budget expenditures and reallocating them toward additional spending in order to enhance the targeted and efficient use of budget funds and strengthen budgetary discipline.

It is worth recalling that on December 25, 2025, the Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2026” was adopted. The law was approved by the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis on December 5, 2025, and endorsed by the Senate on December 18, 2025. Under the law, first-level budget fund administrators may use budget funds allocated from the republican budget in accordance with this law only during the 2026 fiscal year, and these funds may not be carried over to the next fiscal year.
