Dollar exchange rate rises sharply

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has set the official exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Uzbek soum effective January 20.

According to the Central Bank, the official exchange rate of the US dollar increased by 88.93 soums and amounted to 12,051.71 soums.

The euro rose by 121.32 soums and was set at 14,008.91 soums.

The Russian ruble strengthened by 0.75 soums to 154.69 soums.

The Chinese yuan increased by 14.2 soums and reached 1,730.70 soums.

The price of one gram of gold, meanwhile, fell by 4,800 soums to 1,827,700 soums.

According to TradingView data, as of 16:00 Tashkent time on January 19, the bitcoin exchange rate dropped by 18,502,714 soums and stood at 1,121,176,836 soums.
