Fakhriddin Khamroev becomes world champion

Uzbek athlete Fakhriddin Khamroev has won the gold medal at the World Para Athletics Championships held in New Delhi, India. He competed in the 400-meter final.
On October 3, Fakhriddin Khamroev took part in the men’s 400-meter final in the T12 category, finishing second with a time of 50.11 seconds. However, Moroccan athlete Mahdi Afri, who initially placed first, was disqualified for violating competition regulations. As a result, the gold medal was awarded to Khamroev.
Men’s 400-meter (T12) results:
Gold: Fakhriddin Khamroev (Uzbekistan) – 50.11 seconds
Silver: Oguz Akbulut (Turkey) – 50.84 seconds
Bronze: Kissanapong Tisuwan (Thailand) – 50.98 seconds
Following Khamroev’s victory, the Uzbekistan national team’s total medal count at the championship reached 10:
4 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
It is worth noting that earlier, 20-year-old Karomat Omonova, who competed in the women’s shot put event in the F46 category, broke the Asian record with a result of 13.07 meters to become the world champion. In addition, Jasur Khojaev, who competed in the men’s shot put F32 category, claimed gold with a throw of 9.96 meters.
