Uzbekistan national team midfielder Abbosbek Fayzullayev has made history in the country’s football. He scored against Colombia in the first round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, becoming the author of Uzbekistan’s first-ever goal at the tournament.
Fayzullayev found the net against Colombia, writing his name into history as the scorer of the Uzbekistan national team’s first goal in World Cup history.
Thus, the 21-year-old footballer engraved his name on one of the most important pages of Uzbek football.
For reference, Abbosbek Fayzullayev has been playing for the Uzbekistan national team since 2023. He has made more than 25 appearances for the national team, scoring several goals and providing assists.
Fayzullayev also distinguished himself through his successful performances at the 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup and the Asian Games.
