Emergency Situations Department officer dies by suicide at country house

Reports circulated on social media that an officer of the Emergency Situations Department in Tashkent had taken his own life. To clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Hayot Shamsutdinov, press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to him, the incident occurred at around 3:00 p.m. on December 21 at a country house located on Sebzor Street in the Ghazalkent neighborhood of Bostanliq District. The deceased was identified as a 25-year-old senior lieutenant, H.B., a prevention inspector with the Uchtepa District Emergency Situations Department in Tashkent. He had been on his regular service leave since November 25 this year. He was found at the country house hanging by a rope around his neck.

A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the cause of death. A pre-investigation inquiry is currently being conducted by the Chirchiq Military Prosecutor’s Office.

Earlier, it was reported that a 28-year-old traffic patrol officer died in a road accident in Yangi Namangan District of Namangan Region.
