The Gishtkoprik border customs post in the Tashkent region will be closed for four months starting February 5, 2025, due to large-scale construction and reconstruction works. This was reported by the Customs Committee.
The closure is intended to complete major improvements, including the dismantling of temporary structures, enhancement of the surrounding area, and the development of necessary infrastructure adjacent to the post.
During this period, the movement of citizens and vehicles that would normally pass through Gishtkoprik will be redirected to the Navoi border customs post. The newly built Navoi border customs post, also located in Tashkent district, is in close proximity to Gishtkoprik and is expected to facilitate border crossings during the transition.
To ensure smooth movement for individuals, passenger cars, and buses, freight vehicles will face temporary restrictions at the Navoi border customs post.
