Aerial patrols have been launched in Tashkent region to identify sources of air pollution, the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change reported.

According to the committee, a special commission initiated the helicopter patrol to strengthen monitoring of sources that pollute the atmosphere. During today’s aerial inspection, commission leaders personally assessed the situation and took appropriate measures in response to identified instances of air pollution.

“The aerial survey allows for rapid detection of enterprises and facilities that violate environmental standards, including those that are hidden or difficult to access. This approach significantly increases monitoring efficiency and helps identify illegal emissions for immediate action,” the report said.

The commission will continue implementing comprehensive measures to stabilize the environmental situation and protect public health.

It is worth noting that on 2 December, a special commission meeting on air quality in Tashkent city was held under the leadership of Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration. Following the meeting, Mirziyoyeva joined officials for an inspection of greenhouses that were emitting harmful pollutants.
