Ilham Aliyev solemnly welcomes Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Today, July 2, an official welcoming ceremony was held at the Zagulba residence in Baku for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in Azerbaijan on a state visit. This was reported by the press service of the President.

The flags of both countries were raised in the square in front of the residence, and a guard of honor was lined up.

The high-ranking guest was warmly received by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.

The national anthems were played, accompanied by a military orchestra, as the guard of honor stood before the heads of state.

Following a joint photo session, a brief meeting between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan took place.

Today, July 2, the leaders will hold the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, lay the foundation stone for the "Uzbekistan" park, and inaugurate the new building of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku.

Tomorrow, July 3, Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev will continue their dialogue in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, where they will visit the joint garment factory in Khonkendy and the "Imorat" historical and architectural complex in Agdam.
