A scientific solution has been found in cooperation with partners to address a complex technological issue at the “25th Anniversary of Independence” major gas processing complex in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region. The announcement was made on February 27 during a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the comprehensive development of the Surkhandarya region.
During the meeting, it was also confirmed that new flights will be launched on the Termez–Istanbul and Termez–Dubai routes.
It was noted that approximately 100,000 people travel daily by car from Shurchi, Denov, Sariosiyo, Sherobod, and Boysun to the regional center. Authorities were instructed to prioritize these routes when deploying the 125 buses being delivered to Surkhandarya.
By the end of the year, a project to provide centralized drinking water for the first time to 56,000 residents of Muzrabot district will be completed.
Projects to install sewerage systems in the centers of Muzrabot, Oltinsoy, Angor, Kizirik, and Boysun districts will also begin.
It was emphasized that a scientific solution has been developed with partners to resolve the complex technological issue at the “25th Anniversary of Independence” gas processing complex.
“We will stop the accident and at the same time launch a project that will give a major boost to Surkhandarya’s economy,” the President said.
It is worth noting that in May 2025, a powerful gas blowout containing high levels of hydrogen sulfide occurred at Well No. 202 of the M-25 field in Boysun district, resulting in a repeated fountain-like eruption.
