Earlier, a baby was born at the Gafur Ghulom station of the Tashkent Metro. The newborn and the mother were granted lifetime free access to the metro, according to the ’’Tashkent metropolitan’’ state unitary enterprise.

It was also reported that the on-duty operator, Naima Makhamadjonova, who showed alertness and courage during the incident, along with several other metro employees who participated in the process, will be rewarded.

The baby was born yesterday, on October 6. During her shift, station operator Naima Makhamadjonova was informed by an internal affairs officer about a female passenger in distress in the passageway.

Quickly assessing the situation, Makhamadjonova applied her professional training and first aid skills to assist the woman in safely delivering her baby on-site. She provided essential care for the newborn, including tying the umbilical cord and stimulating the baby’s breathing reflex.

During this time, emergency medical services and the woman’s relatives were called. Until the paramedics arrived, approximately 10 minutes later, the staff monitored the condition of the mother and child and ensured their safety.
