Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits Islam Karimov Mausoleum

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Hazrati Hizr complex in Samarkand today, 25 November, and laid flowers at the mausoleum of Uzbekistan’s First President, Islam Karimov. This was reported by the presidential press service.
Verses from the Quran were recited, and prayers were offered.
It should be noted that earlier today, 25 November, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Samarkand Region to review ongoing socio-economic reforms and outline upcoming tasks together with local officials. As is customary, he began his visit with a trip to the Imam Bukhari Mausoleum, where Quranic verses were recited and prayers were offered. The President then visited the Mahdumi Azam complex in the Dahbed township of Oqdaryo district to inspect ongoing reconstruction work.
