Mirziyoyev to visit Hungary and Slovenia

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to the Republic of Hungary and Slovenia from May 19 to 22, according to the presidential press service.

At the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the President will arrive in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, on May 19. During the visit, high-level talks, meetings with senior Hungarian officials, and discussions with leaders of major companies are scheduled.

The agenda will focus on further strengthening practical cooperation and advancing the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

On May 21, President Mirziyoyev will take part in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will also be held in Budapest.

On May 22, the President will visit Slovenia, where he is expected to meet with President Nataša Pirc Musar in the capital, Ljubljana. He will also hold talks with the country’s parliamentary and government leadership and participate in joint business forums.

During the visit, the sides will discuss the development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, implementation of joint projects in the pharmaceutical, industrial, food, and textile sectors, collaboration on labor migration, and the expansion of humanitarian ties.
