Another traffic police officer dies in an accident in Namangan

Yesterday, on November 25, a 28-year-old road patrol officer died in a traffic accident in the Yangi Namangan district of Namangan region, the Road Traffic Safety Service spokesperson Zoir Yoldoshev reported.

The accident occurred at 19:55 on Islam Karimov Street in Yangi Namangan district. An 18-year-old, H.Z., who did not have a driver’s license, was driving an Onix at high speed and, while attempting to overtake a vehicle in the same direction incorrectly, hit a pedestrian crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. As a result, Safdor Doniyor Nurilloev, a 28-year-old officer of the Traffic Police Department of the Navoi Region Internal Affairs Directorate, sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.

A criminal case has been opened by the Yangi Namangan District Prosecutor’s Office regarding this incident, and initial investigative actions are underway.

Traffic police officer Doniyor Nurilloev was taken to the Ministry of Internal Affairs hospital in Yangi Namangan district for treatment.

It is worth noting that on November 21 of this year, another road patrol officer in Namangan region died after being hit by a driver who violated traffic rules.
