The “Last Bell” marks not only the end of school life, but also a major milestone for every graduate stepping into adulthood. Today, May 24, more than 10,000 secondary schools across Uzbekistan held ceremonies to celebrate this important occasion. From early morning, schoolyards filled with teachers, students, graduates, and their families, all gathered to mark the moment together.

The “Last Bell” events took place between 08:00 and 10:00 in the morning, concluding with heartfelt farewells, speeches, and emotional goodbyes.

Following the school ceremonies, many graduates are expected to continue celebrations in parks, recreational areas, and other public spaces. To ensure safety and public order during these gatherings, over 5,000 law enforcement officers and military personnel have been deployed throughout the country.

This academic year, more than 450,000 11th graders are graduating from high school nationwide. Of these, more than 11,500 students earned gold medals for outstanding academic achievement, while over 2,000 received silver medals.

It is worth noting that yesterday, on May 23, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates of the 2024/2025 academic year.
