It was found that the name and gender of a 55-year-old citizen were written incorrectly in Navoi.
It was discovered that the gender of a citizen living in the Kyzyltepa district of Navoi region had been listed as male for many years in official documents, and her name had also been recorded incorrectly. This was reported by the regional Justice Department.
As part of the regional campaign "No person will be left without documents," a 55-year-old citizen was identified whose name had been incorrectly written as Erkin Tilavov, when her real name was Erkinoy Tilavova. Additionally, her gender had been mistakenly recorded as male on her birth certificate. This error caused problems when she tried to retire.
Marusa Nasirova, head of the Kyzyltepa district registry office, explained that the woman had received a civil passport alongside her birth certificate, which also contained the incorrect information. Her parents made corrections to the document, and she was issued a civil passport. However, the introduction of the electronic system presented new complications.
In response to the issue, the Justice Department of the Kyzyltepa district, in cooperation with the Civil Registry Office, filed a lawsuit with the court to officially determine the fact of citizenship.
