The voting stage of the second season of the “Initiative Budget” for this year has officially begun. However, two districts in the Andijan region have been excluded from the process, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
It is reported that within the second season of the 2025 “Initiative Budget” program, citizens submitted a total of 22,263 projects, of which 18,656 advanced to the voting stage. However, in the Altynkul and Ulugnor districts of Andijan, citizens lodged complaints to the hotline over the unjustified rejection of their projects by the working commissions.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance stated that it had sent letters regarding these cases, urging district commissions to review projects in line with the criteria set by current legislation. Despite this, the relevant commissions failed to ensure that the projects were properly reviewed.
“Therefore, given the failure to comply with current criteria during the selection stage, and based on complaints and objections received from citizens, the voting stage for projects within the second season of the initiative budget in Ulugnor and Altynkul districts will not be held,” the report said.
Citizens can cast their votes through the following methods:
- The official “Initiative Budget” portal;
- The mobile application (Android and iOS);
- The official Telegram bot.
The voting process will continue until 23:59 on August 31 this year.
It is worth noting that on August 19, the “Initiative Budget” portal announced the completion of the selection stage of the second season of the 2025 “Initiative Budget” process, after which a three-day promotion stage was held for the projects that successfully passed selection.
