Paralympic National Teams Center to be established

Uzbekistan will establish a Paralympic National Teams Center. This is stipulated in the presidential decree titled “On Additional Measures to Further Develop Paralympic Sports,” adopted on December 11.

Under the decree, starting January 1, 2026, a new procedure for forming the national teams in Paralympic sports will be introduced:

• When selecting athletes for national teams in Paralympic sports, their performance in relevant competitions will be considered alongside their achievement of required sports standards.
• Holding the Uzbekistan Championship or Cup in Paralympic sports will no longer be mandatory for sports in which national teams are formed based on sports standards.

The “ERP-sport” electronic management system will be used to record the results of athletes participating in Paralympic sports, and the necessary technical capabilities will be created to monitor their compliance with sports standards.

In addition, a Paralympic National Teams Center will be established.

The center will be located at the Olympic Village in Yashnobod district of Tashkent.
