According to the ministry, the presidential decree of December 24, 2025, “On establishing additional non-working days and transferring days off during the celebration of official dates in 2026,” states that because May 9, the Day of Remembrance and Honor, falls on a Saturday, a day off for employees working a five-day week, this day off will be moved to Monday, May 11, 2026.
Accordingly, on May 11, 2026, classes scheduled for that day will be held for students of general education schools, except for primary school pupils.
At the same time, May 11, 2026, will be a day off for state preschool education organizations.
For reference, non-state educational institutions determine their days off in accordance with their own internal regulations.
