Six unattended children returned to Uzbekistan from Russia

Another six children who were left without parental care in various regions of Russia have been returned to Uzbekistan, the Children’s Ombudsman reported.
According to the statement, the Children’s Ombudsman of Uzbekistan sent an official request to her Russian counterpart regarding measures to repatriate unattended minors to their home country.
It was reported that, following the request, the Russian Children’s Ombudsman took prompt action, providing the necessary assistance and ensuring appropriate living conditions for the children in the regions where they were located.
As a result, two children were returned from Saint Petersburg, one from Moscow, one from Moscow region, one from Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan, and one from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
It is worth noting that earlier, as part of an official mission to repatriate minors left without parental care in the Russian Federation, 14 children were brought back to Uzbekistan through coordinated efforts involving the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan.
