On September 5, a fatal car accident in the Zainsk district of Tatarstan claimed the lives of three Uzbek citizens, TASS reported.
According to the Tatarstan prosecutor’s office, the incident occurred on the 38th kilometer of the Naberezhnye Chelny–Almetyevsk highway. For reasons yet unknown, a Nexia crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a MAN truck, killing all of the car’s occupants.
“The victims of the truck accident in Tatarstan were citizens of Uzbekistan, and their bodies will be repatriated,” TASS reported.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan also confirmed the deaths and stated that it is working with local authorities to arrange the return of the bodies.
It is worth noting that earlier, another Uzbek citizen died in Russia after being crushed by a rock mass at a mine in the Kuraginsky district of Krasnoyarsk Territory. The 30-year-old man, who worked at the Artyomovsky Rudnik JSC mine on a labor patent, was drilling and reinforcing rock when the collapse occurred. He died at the scene from his injuries.
