Earlier, it was reported that in the Yemelyanovsky district of Russia’s Krasnoyarsk region, law enforcement officers stormed the ’’Korona’’ banquet hall during a concert of Uzbek singer Jaloliddin Ahmadaliyev and carried out searches among migrants. During the inspection, it was revealed that eight Uzbek citizens had violated the rules of stay in Russia. This was announced by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ahror Burkhanov.
It was reported that four of the detained Uzbek citizens were fined and ordered to be administratively deported, while the remaining four were placed in a temporary detention center for foreign nationals in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. These individuals had attended the venue where Uzbek pop singer Jaloliddin Ahmadaliyev was performing. The concert, however, had not been authorized in accordance with the procedures of the relevant organizations and authorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which ultimately led to the incident.
’’Notably, the concert in Krasnoyarsk was organized privately by individuals holding Russian citizenship and was held in a facility not specifically equipped for such events,’’ the MFA spokesperson wrote.
According to Burkhonov, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk is promptly taking measures to provide the detained citizens with the necessary legal assistance.
According to the Consulate General, a similar concert previously held in Novosibirsk had been coordinated in advance with the city authorities, was staged in a packed hall, and warmly received by the audience. At the same time, law enforcement raids of this nature in the Krasnoyarsk region must have a legal basis and should not obstruct cultural recreation. To ensure a proper legal assessment of the actions of local security forces, all necessary documents have been submitted to the law enforcement authorities of the Krasnoyarsk region.
Earlier, the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan reported that a licensed lawyer had been dispatched to the scene to protect the rights and interests of the citizens.
