Heavy mudflow hits Samarkand’s Urgut district

A heavy mudflow struck the Urgut district of Samarkand region on March 28, according to Uzhydromet.
According to reports, intense rainfall was recorded at the Samarkand meteorological station and the Urgut hydrological post, with up to 5.8 mm of precipitation falling over 58 minutes between 20:02 and 21:00.
As a result of the heavy rainfall, rainwater overflowed onto several streets.
Earlier, a similar mudflow had been reported in the Sharof Rashidov district of Jizzakh region.
