On January 24, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of credentials from Saad bin Nasser bin Abdullah Abu Haimed, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan. Saidov announced this on his Telegram channel.
According to the foreign minister, the meeting focused on current priorities and future prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, including in trade, investment, energy, and cultural exchange.
“We wish the ambassador success in his diplomatic mission in our country,” Saidov said.
It is worth recalling that earlier, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded the Order of Friendship to Yousuf Al-Otaibi, the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, upon the completion of his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
