On February 4, an award ceremony for the Sheikh Zayed International “Human Fraternity” Award was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the participants of the ceremony via a video message, according to the presidential press service.
In his address, the head of state congratulated President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on receiving the award.
“The joint efforts of political leaders to wisely resolve a long-standing conflict and achieve peace are undoubtedly worthy of this prestigious award,” the Uzbek leader said.
Mirziyoyev added that the achieved agreement marked a historic step for the region.
“The agreement reached has become a vivid example of a responsible approach to resolving problems and a historic step toward ensuring stability in our broader region. Today, only through unity, mutual support, and close friendship can we ensure the shared development and prosperity of our peoples,” Mirziyoyev said.
The President emphasized that Uzbekistan consistently supports the resolution of any disputes and conflicts exclusively through political and diplomatic means, based on the principles of international law and good neighborly relations.
He also gave special recognition to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates for its active promotion of humanitarian initiatives and its consistent efforts to strengthen a culture of dialogue on the international stage.
It should be recalled that on February 4, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of a global forum held in Abu Dhabi as part of the Sheikh Zayed International “Human Fraternity” Award events.
The large-scale forum, titled the “Human Fraternity Assembly,” brought together 150 distinguished guests, including first ladies of foreign countries, Nobel Prize laureates, heads of UN agencies and leading international organizations, senior politicians, ministers, and public figures from the UAE and Gulf states, as well as leading scholars in the fields of technology and artificial intelligence ethics.
