On May 24, during the nationwide "Last Bell" graduation celebrations, 384 underage schoolchildren were found driving vehicles without a driver's license. The information was reported by the Road Safety Service.

According to the agency, officers from the Road Safety Service carried out control measures in all regions of the country throughout the day. Special attention was given to preventing traffic rule violations by minors during the ceremonies.

“This situation significantly increases the risk of traffic violations and accidents, especially injuries involving children,” the official report noted.

As a result of these checks, 384 underage students were identified operating vehicles en route to graduation events across the country. In response, appropriate measures were taken in accordance with existing laws and regulations.

Additionally, the Children’s Ombudsman submitted an official request to the Road Traffic Safety Service of the Department of Public Safety under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, urging the implementation of stricter measures to prevent minors from driving without a license.

It is worth noting that earlier reports estimated the number of students expected to graduate from the 11th grade in the 2024/2025 academic year at 455,200.
