Cobalt and Nexia collide in Surkhandarya, leaving one dead (video)

On October 19, a Cobalt car that veered into the opposite lane collided with a Nexia in the Surkhandarya region, resulting in the death of one person. The incident was reported by the regional department of Internal Affairs’ Road Safety Directorate.

According to the report, the accident occurred at around 09:40 am on the 7th kilometer of the D-162 (4R-104) highway passing through the ’’Azlarsoy’’ neighborhood of Kumkurgan district. The driver of the Cobalt, born in 1997, was traveling along the road when he crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Nexia-2 driven by a man born in 1986.

As a result of the collision, a male passenger born in 1963, who was in the Nexia-2, died at the scene. Another passenger, a woman born in 1959, was taken to the district emergency medical department.

Currently, a criminal case has been opened by the investigation team of the Kumkurgan district department of Internal Affairs, and investigative measures are underway.

It is worth noting that earlier, a traffic accident in Tashkent resulted in injuries to the drivers involved.
