Teacher allegedly breaks student’s shoulder in Surkhandarya

Videos circulating on social media show a teacher in Boysun district, Surkhandarya region, allegedly striking a student in the shoulder, causing a fracture, reportedly because the child wore a T-shirt to school. The incident involved a second-grade boy, S.J., and teacher Y.H.

The student’s mother reportedly sought a response from the authorities but did not receive satisfactory answers.

The Surkhandarya regional department of Preschool and School Education has confirmed that the case is under investigation. In coordination with relevant agencies, authorities are examining the details and will release an official statement.

’’The protection of children’s rights, dignity, and respect remains a permanent priority in the activities of educational institutions,’’ the department emphasized.

It is worth noting that earlier, a similar case occurred in Syrdarya, where educators reportedly forced a child to apologize.
